Questions we've had enough of
Is the frame included?
No. We sell the poster, and nothing else. Some of the photographs show one framed, because a poster photographed flat on a table looks like a receipt — but the frame in the picture stays in the picture. Any 12 × 16 in or 24 × 32 in frame off the shelf will fit — 30 × 40 cm and 60 × 80 cm, if that is the language your frames speak.
How much is shipping?
$8, wherever you are, and nothing at all if you spend more than $70. One number for the whole world: some of those parcels cost us more than that and some less, and we would rather absorb the difference than make you watch a total change while you type your address.
How long does shipping take?
Three to five working days once it's printed, which takes another day or two. So: about a week, honestly. If it's late, it's late, and we'll tell you rather than pretend the courier is having an unusual month.
Can I get a custom one?
No. Every time we've said yes to this, it has ended with eleven emails about kerning and a sentence that was only funny to one person.
What if I don't like it?
Fourteen days from delivery, send it back undamaged and we'll refund the poster. Return postage is yours. We'd rather have it back than have it resented on a wall somewhere.
How do I get hold of you?
notyetimposter@gmail.com. A real person reads it, usually the same day. Yes, it is a free address — we will buy a proper one when there is something to buy it with.
Do you have a shop I can walk into?
No. There is a room with posters in it, but it also has our laundry in it, so no.
Do you ship outside Europe?
Yes, to about seventy countries. Everything is printed at whichever press is nearest to you, so a poster going to Toronto is made in Canada rather than flown there. It arrives in a tube either way.
Why is it called imposter.?
Because the feeling is universal and the word is short. There is no second meaning and no story about a late night and a whiteboard.
Do the posters ever come back?
Some do, most don't. When a version sells out we usually leave it sold out. If you are waiting for one to return, we would not wait.
Is the paper any good?
170 gsm coated silk, pigment inks. Thick enough to hang unframed without curling at the corners and matte enough not to throw your ceiling light back at you.
Can I buy a whole series at once?
Yes, and it costs 15% less than buying the pieces one at a time. It is the only discount on this site. Tick all of them individually and you still get it — we are not going to punish you for reading carefully.
The specifics
170 gsm coated silk
Smooth, barely any sheen, nothing to distract from the bad news.
Giclée, pigment inks
The colours will outlive the mood that made you buy it.
12×16 in · 24×32 in
Two sizes. Pick based on how much of the wall you want it to take.
Small runs
When a version sells out we don't reprint it. Partly scarcity, partly boredom.
